School Counselor
*Overview* We are seeking a dedicated School Counselor to join our team and support the academic and personal growth of our students. The School Counselor will play a crucial role in providing guidance, counseling, and support to students to help them navigate through their educational journey. *Duties* - Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address students' academic, social, and emotional needs - Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to create a supportive environment for students - Assist in behavior management strategies and interventions - Provide mental health counseling and crisis intervention services - Conduct standardized testing and interpret results to aid in student development - Educate students on various topics including academic planning, career exploration, and college readiness - Work with child protective services when necessary to ensure the well-being of students - Offer academic advising to help students achieve their educational goals *Skills* - Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff - Experience in individual and group counseling techniques - Knowledge of child development principles and behavior management strategies - Ability to collaborate with teachers and administrators to support student success - Familiarity with classroom dynamics and educational environments
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $53,249.00 - $61,624.00 per year
