Job Summary: The Research Assistant III assists with research work in support of a major research project under minimal supervision. Orders equipment and supplies. Sets up equipment. Performs experiments. Monitors results. Collects data. Prepares support material. May supervise students or other support workers assigned to the research project.
Additional Department Summary: The College of Education, Special Education and Multiple Abilities Department is seeking to hire a full-time Research Assistant to support the research activities related to grants led by Dr. Gregory J. Benner, O’Sullivan Professor in the College of Education. The Research Assistant will work closely with Dr. Benner and his grant team members. The Research Assistant will aid the grant team with data collection, data management, coordinating research activities, and supporting the grant team members with implementation and evaluation of research activities. Continuation is dependent on annual funding and satisfactory annual evaluation.
Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and some research support experience, including experience administering standardized norm-referenced assessments to K-12 students.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience collecting and managing data on research projects. Experience working with school personnel on research projects.
