Records Management Specialist II S&K Logistics Services
This position is located at the NNSA Savannah River Field Office (SRFO) and serves as the Records Management Specialist II for the office of the Assistant Manager for Business (AMB). The Record Management Specialist II role is to facilitate the development of a SRFO Records File Plan and provide training and guidance for a successful records management program. The Record Management Specialist II will support assigned records management program activities and work seamlessly without supervision within a team environment in support of NNSA missions.
Evaluate existing records management practices and recommend program improvements.
Coordinate and assist with development of the SRFO Records File Plan.
Provide routine communication and training to SRFO personnel, highlighting records management requirements and guidance to accomplish records management activities.
Responsible for initiating, tracking, and verifying completion of assigned records management tasks.
Routinely report program progress and identify areas for process improvement.
Support the Records Management Field Officer (RMFO) in meeting records management deliverables.
Education
Position requires high school education or GED.
Records management regulatory training applicable to NNSA/DOE/SRS.
Experience
5 years previous records management experience.
License, Cert or Registration
Current driver’s license if required for driving on the job or for security clearance.
Proof of U.S. Citizenship or authorization to work within the United States.
Ability to obtain Q-Clearance security clearance. Existing L or Q clearance is strongly desired.
Electronic Records Management Master (ERMM) certification (preferred but not required).
Information Organization & Access Master (IOAM) certification (preferred but not required).
Special knowledge, skills, & abilities
Must have Strong understanding of regulatory requirements to include National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), DOE and NNSA Guidelines.
Must have the ability to collect, synthesize, organize, and manage corporate information in support of business units in the enterprise. This includes accumulating, understanding, and leveraging DOE specific knowledge.
Advanced working knowledge of computers, software, and general office equipment to include but not limited to MS Windows and Office Pro.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and must be able to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
