What You will be responsible for:
Processes payroll for 300+ employees.
Reviews weekly payroll records to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
Review and process monthly employee benefit vendor invoices.
Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
Processes vendor invoices, reviews purchase orders and resolves discrepancies
Identifies discount opportunities, identifies purchase order amendments and issues stop-payment orders as needed.
Assist with accounts payable tasks once payroll training is complete
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:
At least three to five years of payroll experience required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel) or related software as well as other accounting software programs.
Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copier.
Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to interact professionally with external and internal customers.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
Authorized to work in the United States.
