Paralegal Office of the TN Attorney General and Reporter The Tennessee Attorney General and Reporter represents all State executives, officials, departments, boards, agencies, and commissions in matters arising from their public duties. Such representation includes participation in litigation, transactional matters, and giving day-to-day legal advice to a wide variety of State entities. The Attorney General's Office employs approximately 200 attorneys organized into 17 regular divisions within 5 sections. About the Consumer Protection Division The Consumer Protection Division enforces state and federal consumer protection and antitrust laws on behalf of the State of Tennessee. Cases touch on a variety of matters including data privacy, deceptive advertising, antitrust, advertising substantiation, financial disclosures, government imposters, and price gouging, among others. The Division works closely with consumer protection enforcers from other states and the federal government on matters of regional or national impact – including, most recently, serving in the leadership of the national opioids settlement negotiations as well as antitrust suits against Google, NCAA, and Apple.
