Job Summary

The Department of Geosciences is seeking a student marketing and communications officer. This position will support the Department of Geosciences social media and science communication efforts across multiple projects. These projects aim to share research, teaching, and service about the Earth, Environment, and Society.

Essential Functions

Assist in the executing of the communication plans to promote Science Communication through social media
Create and curate engaging content through a variety of mediums
Ensure that the Department of Geosciences social media profiles stay up to date

Minimum Qualifications

Current Auburn University student in any major
Strong organizational and communications skills
Any experience with multiple social media platforms and audience engagement
Any experience in marketing and communications

Preferred Qualifications

Digital media, marketing, communications, science communication experience is preferred

Pay Rate

$12.00/hour
