Job Summary:
In addition to working as a Caregiver, the Lead Caregiver serves as a counselor, guide, coach, and mentor in a long-term, ongoing relationship with caregivers. The Lead Caregiver will provide client support through Quality Assurance activities in efforts to improve client retention. As the face of ACAF in the community, this team member must demonstrate our core value, compassion, in all interactions with internal and external customers and staff: patience, kindness, humility, selflessness, respectfulness, forgiveness, honesty and commitment.
Responsibilities:

Assists the client with daily living activities in the person’s home or in a care facility. Duties may include light housekeeping (making beds, doing laundry, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, doing dishes) and preparing meals.
Immediately reports changes in condition or living situation to branch director.
Demonstrates high accountability and leadership skills. Maintains positive work environment.
Conducts comprehensive training for new caregivers.
•Facilitates the onboarding process for new clients by conducting initial assessments and coordinating branch management and caregivers for smooth transition into As Close As Family care.
•Conducts regular supervisory visits to ensure quality of care provided by caregivers and provides education to caregivers as needed on any issues identified under direction of branch director.
•Available for fill-in visits to cover caregiving responsibilities during unexpected absences to meet client needs.
•Available for after hours on call needs during specified periods to address urgent client needs, caregiver concerns, and support as needed.
•Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of training for caregivers, initiation of care, and supervisory visits.
•Maintains knowledge of home medical equipment
•Assists with office administrative tasks as filing and answering telephones as requested.

Minimum Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

To be a qualified driver you must possess a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and auto insurance on the vehicle being used.

** Minimum 2 years experience as CNA or Caregiver

Must be insurable throughout employment to provide transportation on behalf of client
Must successfully pass a criminal background check, DMV check and drug screen
Ability to care for clients with dignity, and respectful of others and their property
Effective written and verbal communication skills in a friendly and congenial manner
Ability to work independently without supervision in a safe manner always
Willingness to drive to all client locations in the specified service areas
The person must be able to lift and carry up to 25lbs.
