The Online Proctor / Student Outreach role is responsible for administering the TABE (Test of Adult Basic Education) testing process and responding to student inquiries. This role involves handling communications from the IOO website, provider referrals, Google Voice messages, and email inquiries from interested students. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional student support.

Duties and Responsibilities

• TABE Proctoring: Administer the TABE test, ensuring all procedures and protocols are followed to maintain test integrity.

• Inquiry Response: Respond to student inquiries received from the IOO website, provider referrals, Google Voice messages, and email inquiries promptly and professionally.

• Outreach and Follow-Up: Engage with prospective students to provide information about the IOO program, answer questions, and guide them through the enrollment process.

• Communication Management: Ensure all communications are tracked and recorded, following up with students as necessary to ensure their needs are met.

• Student Support: Assist students with any questions or issues related to the IOO program, providing guidance and support as needed.

• Technical Assistance: Provide technical support to students experiencing difficulties with the online platform or communication tools.

• Compliance: Ensure all communication procedures comply with institutional and state guidelines, maintaining high standards of security and confidentiality.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

Required:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or a degree in education or a related field is preferred.

• Experience: Previous experience in educational testing, online proctoring, student outreach, or administrative roles is advantageous.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency with Google Voice, Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with online testing platforms.
• Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Attention to Detail: High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in data entry and adherence to protocols.

• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse student populations.

• Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, with a commitment to providing excellent customer service and support to students.

• Passion for Adult Education: Demonstrated passion for working with adult learners and helping them achieve their educational and personal goals.

Preferred:

• Experience with adult education programs.

• Knowledge of the TABE test and its administration.

• Familiarity with state reporting requirements for adult education programs.
