The New Mexico Department of Information Technology is the enterprise technology partner serving and supporting state agencies with innovative solutions to advance the delivery of their core missions and create progress for all New Mexicans. Enterprise Services provides IT services, the State's core data network and internet connectivity, and the State's Data Centers. The program also provides enterprise system services which include the State's consolidated email system, the Statewide Human Resource, Accounting, and Management Reporting (SHARE) system, and system infrastructure for many of the State's websites and web applications. Other services provided by Enterprise Services include application development, database management and the Enterprise Service Desk which provides level one technical support for all State employees. Financial Analyst - O position works under the Program Support Division (ASD) which supports all of the Agencies departments.
Why does the job exist?
The purpose of this position is to ensure the Department is collecting sufficient revenue for the services that are being rendered across Enterprise Services to other state agencies. Enterprise Services programs provide reliable and secure infrastructure for voice and data communications through the state's data center and telecommunications network. The primary goal is to improve and streamline the executive branch's information technology (IT) systems by leveraging economies of scale and centralized management to deliver services.
How does it get done?
- Review monthly billings for all services that have been rendered for cost analysis and direct impact.
- Review Accounts Receivable balances and track outstanding invoices and balances that have gone unpaid.
- Run SHARE Financial revenue and expenditure reports to track the balances of revenue received to date and all payments have been recognized.
- Provide analysis reports of reconciled revenues to expenditures (no less than monthly) to upper management to ensure the programs are in proper alignment. Ensure incoming revenue is on track with original budget.
- Comparing reconciliations within Program Support to the reconciliations provided from the Enterprise Billing Bureaus.
- Assist with billing related functions provided from the Enterprise Billing Bureaus as needed.
- Other assignments as needed with Program Support.

Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration and two (2) years of experience in accounting, finance, economics and/or statistical analysis. Substitutions Apply. See Substitution Table below.

Driver's License and Background Investigation.
Working Conditions
Work is usually performed in an office setting, with extensive exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT), personal computer and telephone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required. Some travel may be required.
