Summary

JOB SUMMARY
DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Moves offices, equipment, beds, and or supplies into or out of the Medical Center as directed; initiates purchase order for supplies and equipment; operates floor machines and vacuums to clean and to polish floors; mixes and applies chemical stripper to remove wax finishes from floors.
- Reports needs for maintenance to appropriate team member.
- Maintains a safe, clean, organized and functional environment of care by caring for the medical center's grounds; disinfects and cleans patient rooms, offices and hallways; operates equipment and machinery to maintain medical center cleanliness.
- Follows infection control procedures to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients, families, and team members.
- Maintains all work areas in a clean, neat, orderly and safe condition; distributes stock, keeps records of materials issued; Prepares periodic, special, or perpetual inventory of stock; fills orders or issues supplies from stock; and assist in daily security duties.

- Works indoors/outdoors frequently

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Frequently required to move about inside the department.
- Constantly required to communicate telephonically and face to face with colleagues and customers.
- Frequently required to operate a computer and telephone.
- Constantly required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
