The Facilites Manager will play an important role in creating a workspace that inspires and unleashes the potential of our co-owners. The Facilities Manager will lead a team consisting of Warehouse Associates and Leads, Facility Maintenance, and Branch Purchasing Associates to ensure the facility is meeting the needs of our Residential, Commercial, and Service divisions. Through these efforts, the Facilities Manager will help to create a workplace culture that is supportive, innovative, and fulfilling for the facilities team. In addition to managing the day-to-day operations of our facilities, which includes the daily tasks of opening/closing, job preparation, inventory, purchasing, shipping/receiving, office and parking needs, the Manager will be responsible to work closely with the Director of Facilities and implement strategies to optimize the use of our physical spaces. This will include collaborating with other roles and teams, such as Branch Fleet Coordinator(s), the Central Facility Manager, IT, HR, and the Sustainability Coordinator to create a productive and effective facility serving our co-owner needs across the 3 business units. This position will report to the Director of Facilities. The Facilities Manager will be directly responsible for the oversight and completion of tasks for the following areas:
Branch Purchasing:
Acquiring small and major components.
Purchasing workstation inventory for new hire when necessary
Entering data into inventory software and CRM.
Fulfilling last-minute requests for materials.
Conducting end-of-month inventory.
Vetting vendors and maintaining vendor relationships.
Acquiring tool and safety equipment
Inventory Management:
Tracking inventory for daily, weekly, and longer-term needs.
Determining minimum and maximum stock quantities.
Creating and maintaining effective storage solutions.
Ensuring the utilization of legacy equipment.
Analyzing the installation schedule, inventory levels, and assessing material needs for upcoming installations across multiple technologies.
Maintain base inventory of tools and safety equipment and supplies
Shipping & Receiving:
Receiving and verifying materials.
Stocking received materials and notifying applicable parties of upcoming job-specific materials.
Recording stock via inventory software and CRM.
Coordinating inter-shop transfers between Re Vision Energy branches.
Job Preparation:
Reviewing all upcoming jobs.
Coordinating with Operations and Procurement on timing and materials.
Creating Bill of Materials for pack out.
Preparing materials for evening load up.
Ensuring box trucks are loaded in the evening for morning departure.
Facilities Management:
Overseeing the general building maintenance
Work directly with the Director of Facilities on branch renovations, including HVAC systems, office expansions, plumbing, electrical systems, and building security.
Maintaining grounds (e.g., snow plowing and shoveling, spreading ice melt, vehicle parking during storms and special events, lawn mowing, etc.).
Ensuring the office is clean, organized, and well-maintained.
Managing office supplies and auxiliary IT equipment, including ordering and stocking supplies as needed.
Overseeing office equipment, including printers, copiers, and phone systems, and coordinating repairs and maintenance as needed.
Implementing policies and procedures related to office security, safety, and emergency preparedness.
Providing support and guidance to office staff on workplace policies, procedures, and compliance issues.
Work with the Sustainability Coordinator to develop and implement sustainability initiatives, including energy efficiency programs and waste reduction strategies.
Working with Director of Facilities Developing and managing budgets related to office operations and maintenance.
Conducting regular inspections of the office and facility to identify maintenance needs and opportunities for improvement.
Working with the safety department and HR to ensure workstations meet current standards for ergonomics.
Working with IT to ensure employees have auxiliary IT equipment for workstations that meets the company's base requirements.
Creating and maintaining effective and efficient storage solutions and warehouse processes.
Ensuring training is completed for all new warehouse employees as well as any ongoing training requirements.
Evaluating and executing purchase decisions for tools, equipment, and facilities infrastructure to ensure warehouse and operations efficiency.
Conducting annual reviews of facility/warehouse employees.
Managing schedules of facility employees to ensure coverage from 6:30 AM-7 PM Monday - Friday.
Working with the Operations team to ensure installations start with all necessary components.
Working with BMT to ensure co-owners have the productive office space necessary to perform their job, this includes permanent or floating workstations.
Working with other company divisions and groups when necessary, including Service, Commercial, Solar Foundations, EV (Electric Vehicle), IT, and HR, as well as assisting office staff when needed and assisting with the set up and tear down of company events.
Overseeing transfers of inventory between branches.
Coordinating logistics for deliveries to job sites.
Working with business groups and company leadership on the set up and take down of events.
Assisting with all aspects of the facility as needed.
Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
5 years of related experience required.
5+ years managing multiple locations.
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Ability to work self-guided in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Familiarity with Excel and other commonly used software, including internet and email.
Excellent communication skills.
Positive attitude and 100% solution oriented.
