Job Summary:
This position will oversee and investigate inquires, reports, complaints, etc. related to the Empowerment Scholarship Account program and the Empower Hotline.
This position works in-person five days per week, located in the downtown Phoenix area.
Occasional local and in-state travel may be required for this position.
Candidates should apply with an ability and willingness to work in-office up to five days per week.
Job Duties:
Review and investigate inquires, reports, complaints, findings.
Gather materials and conduct fact-finding interviews.
Work with external partners, including law enforcement.
Maintain investigation files and present recommendations to leadership.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):
Knowledge in:
Conducting investigations with an emphasis on document crimes
Case management and document preparation for prosecution
Court proceedings and administrative practices include subpoena responses, depositions, hearings, etc.
Law enforcement structure and practices
Skills in:
Investigative techniques
Interview practices
Internet-based Research (OSINT)
Organization
Confidentiality
Time management
Microsoft computer software
Familiarity with Lexis-Nexis, or other research databases, including computer-assisted legal research
Internet Explorer
Ability to:
Gather and document evidence
Develop and write reports
Manage large caseloads
Provide clear, concise recommendations
Effectively communicate with members of the public, Executive Staff and other employees
Selective Preference(s):
Preference will be given to those applicants with a law enforcement background.
Preference will be given to those applicants with knowledge of K-12 school district administration and procedures.
