Opportunity
We are looking for a full time Drug and Alcohol Collections Technician for our Occupational Health Clinic in Anchorage, Alaska. This role is full-time Monday-Friday. Travel is required to remote locations within Alaska and the lower forty eight for collections support. Up to 50% of this position may include travel.
The primary functions of this position include field and clinic drug and alcohol specimen collections on a daily and after-hours basis. Incumbent is responsible for performing collections utilizing a variety of methodologies to include urine, saliva, hair and breath collections in conjunction with calibrating and maintaining testing devices in accordance with all applicable regulations, laws, statutes and policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required.
- 2-3 years drug and alcohol collections experience (preferred)
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing clinic, remote and after-hours collections support for Beacon clients. This includes performing urine drug screen collections, oral fluids drug collections, rapid result drug tests, and breath alcohol tests.
- Perform general administrative tasks delegated by the Lead Tech and/or Clinical Services Director.
- Assigned to carry and answer the after hours phone on a weekly rotation as scheduled to perform after hours collections.
- Responsible for post-positive calibration of breath alcohol machines.
- Travel is required to remote locations within Alaska and the lower forty eight for collections support. Up to 50% of this position may include travel.
Physical Demands and Work Conditions
Work conditions are such that significant time will be spent walking, standing, stooping, sitting, assisting with positioning patients, and include some lifting.
