SUMMARY: Must operate at both tactical and strategic levels, managing and continuously developing all aspects of the golf business. This involves providing a clear vision for its strategic direction, while taking personal responsibility for identifying additional sales and marketing opportunities. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customer service excellence must be consistently delivered, and revenue and profit maximized for the pro shop, food and beverage, Advantage Card members club, and golf specific sales and marketing.
Must provide oversight of golf course maintenance, working in tandem with the Golf Course Superintendent to ensure excellent course conditions balanced with budget-efficient best practices.
Must ensure that best operational practices are employed for the locker room, outside golf services, practice facility, and related other golf club places and services.
Must work with resort leadership to maximize performance leading up to and during the Circling Raven Championship, a Symetra Road to the LPGA Tour event that enters year two of three in 2022. This includes securing sponsors and helping drive ticket sales.
Must enhance the golf club relationship with the Casino Resort while representing the Coeur d Alene Tribe and Golf Club reputation. To that end, must understand and successfully support the Tribes mission in all ways, from strategy to tactics, planning to execution.
Must work with Casino Resort management to cross promote both business entities; this includes the CEO, Director of Marketing, Director of Hospitality, Director of Cultural Tourism, and other department leaders.
QUALIFICATIONS Education/Experience:
Must have or be able to obtain a Coeur d Alene Tribal Gaming License.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Bachelors degree or five years golf related experience required.
PGA Certified required.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Three years previous customer service experience required.
Two years previous supervisory experience required; previous managerial experience preferred.
Skills/Knowledge:
High proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel required.
Typing speed of 30 AWPM preferred.
Strong cash handling skills required.
Must be able to guide, coach, and work well with a team.
Must be able to manage conflict and influence outcomes.
Strong multitasking and organization skills required.
Strong presentation skills preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Strong problem solving abilities required.
Must have a thorough understanding of the theory of progressive discipline.
