RN – Director of Infection Control

Position: Director of Infection Control
State License Accepted: Any state but must apply for Alaska RN License prior to starting
Certifications Required: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card through AHA or Red Cross, Valid driver's license
Preferred Certifications: A Master’s degree in a related field preferred. Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) preferred. Certified Infection Control and Prevention (CIC) preferred
Experience Requirements:
- Nine (9) years of nursing experience
- Four (4) years of experience in an acute care or critical care setting
- Five (5) years involving employee supervision
- An equivalent combination of relevant education and/or training may be substituted for experience.
COVID vaccine required? Yes
Weekly Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day
Clearance Timeframe: 2-4 weeks
Staff Oversight: 3.5 FTEs (Infection Prevention staff only)
Summary of scope: All IC oversight for hospital and specialty clinics
Reason for role: Coaching and growth for current Director
Dates of coverage: ASAP for 3 months
