Dining Room Manager Job Summary: The Dining Room Manager will assist the General Manager in managing and overseeing the daily operations of the cafe. Supervisory Responsibilities:
Trains restaurant staff.
Organizes and oversees the staff schedules.
Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Handles discipline of employees in accordance with cafe policy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Ensures customer satisfaction with all aspects of the cafe and dining experience with an emphasis on hospitality. Takes the time to “Table Touch” to promote a welcoming and warm dining experience for guests.
Ensures compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards.
Ensures all pertinent staff members have an understanding of safe food handling.
Handles customer complaints, resolving issues in a diplomatic and courteous manner.
Ensures compliance with alcoholic beverage regulations.
Manages inventory and purchases food and supplies when necessary.
Maintains sales records and tracks cash receipts.
Prepares and submits operations reports and other documentation requested by General Manager.
Performs other duties, such as growing the catering program, and support functions as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
Excellent time management skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Familiarity with food handling, safety, and other restaurant guidelines.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
5 years of previous restaurant front of house experience required; at least 2 years of management experience preferred.
Successful completion of café training program required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to traverse all parts of the restaurant quickly.
Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $42,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year Benefits:
