Administrative Assistant II, Dining Services - Kanakanak Hospital ($29.90/HR+ DOE & Benefits - Dillingham, AK)
Job Description The Dining Services Administrative Assistant II will provide a variety of administrative support functions to the General Manager of a Healthcare food service operation. Data entry, KPI analysis and tracking, weekly and monthly reporting are all part of the day-to-day tasks. Exceptional communication and computer skills will be a necessary skill set for this position. This position will support Kanakanak Hospital in Dillingham, AK. This is a non-rotational position. The successfully hired candidate must be living in Dillingham, AK. Responsibilities
Cash handling, data entry, invoicing and reconciliation of financial reports and safe audits.
Logs, compiles, organizes, processes, and summarizes many different types of data.
Prepares reports, correspondence, complies various statistical reports/graphs to support staff, supervisors, or managers.
Operates or performs such standard office duties such as producing general office written or electronic correspondence, handling a variety of telephone and office equipment, observing proper procedures to handle records or other materials, etc.
Handles confidential information in a discreet, professional manner.
Assists others with overflow work or special projects.
Will assist in the preparation of documents affecting the functioning of the assigned area.
Will play varying roles in supporting or conducting an area’s ongoing business or staff meetings.
Deals with sales and inventory to including cash reconciliation.
Responsible for order of office supplies and uniforms.
Conducts all new employee onboarding, paperwork, and training.
Will utilize specialized computer systems and applications such as Payroll, etc.
Able to prioritize and multi-task in an environment with numerous interruptions.
Proficiency in planning and organization in a high volume fast paced kitchen.
Actively supports and participates in performance improvement activities.
Personal maturity and poise; the ability to remain composed under pressure, to make sound decisions, and to manage diversity.
Act as an ambassador of the department; a point of contact for all employees/new hires to assist with any concerns they may have.
Attends training programs as designated.
Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner
Assists co-workers during staffing shortages.
Strong communication skills, in both written and verbal forms.
Strong team player and interpersonal skills
Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit’s success also may be assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
A minimum of three (3) years of office administrative experience.
Must have high-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications; Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
Should have the ability to type at least 45 words per minute.
Will need to obtain the Alaska Food Workers Card or Serv Safe contingent upon 30 days of hire.
Must pass a fingerprinting background investigation that complies with The Crime Control Act, Child Care Worker Act and the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act.
Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read and write English.
Proof of immunization for TB, and any other immunizations and screenings designated for this contract.
Contract requires candidate to get a flu shot pre-hire and annually thereafter.
Contractor may be required to maintain all employee health records on site.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience as an Admin level ll.
10-key by touch.
At least one (1) year of clerical experience performing accounts receivable, accounts payable, and/or financial processing functions.

Noise level: Moderate Description of environment: This is an office environment located in an industrial kitchen in a healthcare setting. Physical requirements: Employee is required to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk/hear, see, taste/smell, and carry weight/lift.
