Job Description
Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done! Within the Auberge family, our people always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their teammates. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:
Meet with with Executive Chef, Sous Chef to review assignment, anticipated business levels, changes as well as assist in coordinating menu planning
Set up Workstation with proper tools, mise en place and equipment according to kitchen standards, as necessary
Inspect the cleanliness and working conditions of all tools, equipment, food prep areas and supplies. Ensure that everything complies with kitchen standards and abide by state sanitation/health regulations and resort requirements
Restock any dry goods, fresh products, cooking wines that you use in productions in the appropriate areas per need
Inform Sous Chef of any shortages or items needing for producing staff meals
Monitor quality and quantity of food on the cafeteria line
Maintain proper storage for all products specified by the Health Department, Exec. Chef, Sous Chef and Resort requirements
Assist with dishwashing, organizing dirty wares and cleaning employee cafeteria
Label and date all food items
Breakdown workstation and complete closing duties according to department standards
The starting pay rate for this position is $19.50 per hour. This is the pay rate for this position that Solage reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual pay will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education. Qualifications
Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations
Ability to communicate in English with co-workers, guests and management to their understanding
Ability to provide legible communication
Versatility, discipline, organization, strong work ethic and sense of teamwork
