We are seeking a talented Digital Press Operator to join our team. This individual will have the highest level of commitment to quality, attention to detail, and will work to foster growth and productivity in the company. As a Digital Press Operator, you will work as a collaborative part of a fast-paced team with the goal of meeting customers needs and deadlines. You will take camera-ready PDF files and set them up for print production on our Cannon (Cannon 8000, Titan 6180) and Konica Minolta (1100 and 6120) digital presses. You will work with other team members to prepare jobs for shipping or finishing. Your duties will include job setup/line-up, quality checks during print runs, and basic machine maintenance (calibration, clearing jams, replacing toner cartridges). Join our Team!

What This Job Looks Like We utilize Trello Cards for our workflow. When a job is print-ready, the Digital Press Operator will be tagged, and will be responsible for retrieving the file, finding and loading the paper stock as listed on the job card, lining up the print image, maintaining print quality throughout the job run, boxing job for shipping, or working with bindery to have the job ready for the next step
Ensure that all work produced in accordance with the job ticket and customer’s quality expectations
Properly use and care for all equipment. Comply with operating instructions and maintenance schedules
Partner with other team members for the timely prioritizing and processing of projects
Be flexible to perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications Essential skills and experience:
Attention to detail and sound organizational skills
Experience managing many priorities
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment involving multiple daily deadlines
Ability to read & interpret instructions, identify problems/missing information and address them proactively
Experience using and editing PDF files in a digital print manufacturing environment
Familiarity with basic mathematics (i.e. decimals, metric units) to understand dimensional requirements contained on job orders and make more complicated adjustments
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance and to work on feet for a majority of the day
Preferred Skills
Experience working in a print environment
Operate a variety of finishing equipment including cutters, drills and bindery
Prepare and troubleshoot various file formats and change to PDF print-ready status
