Summary

Valley County is recruiting for Custodians to provide cleaning services for its various office buildings in Cascade. We are looking to fill two full-time positions and one part-time position, with work schedules starting in late afternoons and going into evening hours. The two full-time positions come with full employee benefits, including health insurance, membership in the PERSI retirement plan, paid time off, and more. The part-time position does not have employee benefits and would be limited to no more than 19½ hours per week.

Typical Duties & Responsibilities
Typical duties would involve cleaning work areas, restrooms, offices, conference rooms, and break areas. Cleaning tasks would include mixing and preparing cleaning materials and chemicals, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors, scrubbing and disinfecting restroom sinks, toilets, mirrors, windows, and surface areas, replacing soap and paper products, dusting, wiping, polishing, and tidying work areas and offices, and emptying garbage cans.

Typical Qualifications
We are looking for people with previous experience performing cleaning or housekeeping duties, preferably in a professional work setting. Additionally, we are looking for people willing to work with various cleaning supplies and chemicals, and who are able to spend long hours on their feet while performing repetitive physical tasks with their hands. Anyone interested in this position will have to pass a background check, including a drug test, a review of previous employment, and a criminal background check.
