ROLE:
Analyze and make decisions on loan requests from direct, indirect, mortgage and business channels. Communicate loan decision to appropriate team. Demonstrate expertise in the areas of credit union eligibility, loan products and related services and policies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Experience:
Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
Analyze and make decisions on loan requests from direct, indirect, mortgage and business channels. Communicate loan decision to appropriate team. Demonstrate expertise in the areas of credit union eligibility, loan products and related services and policies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Uses loan authority to underwrite direct and indirect consumer, mortgage, and business loans to support operations.
- Analyzes applicant financial status, credit, and collateral to determine feasibility of granting loan.
- Ensures decisions are made with proper balancing of providing a high level of member service and minimizing risk for the credit union.
- Provide branch staff with loan process status updates, as necessary.
- Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of the credit union’s products and services.
- Cross-sells all services of the credit union.
- Assists the Centralized Underwriting Manager with any ongoing departmental projects.
- Maintains clear and professional communication with members, vendors, branches, and other departments.
- Promote and maintain a confidential environment to protect member, employee, and credit union information.
- Participate in Saturday rotation.
Experience:
Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
