SYNOPSIS OF DUTIES
Proactively acts to ensure a safe work and event space for both team members and casino guests.
Ensures the banquet rooms are set up before functions, according to the specifications contained in the banquet and catering order.
Per BEO, sets tables and chairs, chair covers, sets out centerpieces, drops linen and skirts buffets, set up pipe and drape, per layout.
Pulls everything needed for banquet down to the banquet space.
Serves courses from the kitchen promptly, while ensuring the proper presentation prior to serving, or, if appropriate, replaces items on the buffet as they are needed.
Be responsible for receiving drink orders from patrons or mixing and serving alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks for patrons.
Knowledge of bar set up and closing for banquet bars.
Must know how to take orders, enter them into micros, collect money from guests for drinks served and making changes.
Responsible for stocking supplies, maintaining a clean environment, and always displaying teamwork.
Responsible for all monies collected, waste tickets, comp tickets and charging tickets needed for their drop procedure at the end of the shift.
Responsible for breakdown and cleaning of banquet rooms after functions are completed.
Be RBS certified and practice this knowledge daily.
Maintain Title 31 compliance accurately.
Will be required to assist in other areas/departments as needed or assigned.
PREREQUISITES
General: Must be age 21 or older. Must qualify for Tribal Non-Gaming License. Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required. Must be able to communicate in the primary language used in the workplace. Must be able to perform basic math calculations and handle money and computerized cash register. Experience:Food service and banquet experience, with basic knowledge of beer, wine and liquors and be familiar with standard drink recipes. Must demonstrate acceptable guest service skill and be able to perceive each guests needs and wants to ensure a positive experience. Physical: Must be able to stand and exert rapid mobility for periods of up to four (4) hours in length. Must have a good sense of balance, hearing and vision in the normal range, ability to bend and kneel, and have the ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
