Overview:
The Armed Security Guard personnel will be responsible for providing security services at a U.S. Government location.
Responsibilities:
- Wearing a uniform and possessing an assigned weapon, will participate in Guard Mount, receive assigned post, and copy any extra instructions.
- Will carry out general and special orders for post assigned; conduct roving patrols prevent installation breaches and other OPSEC or security-related tasks.
- Will communicate via radio, telephone and orally according to orders
- Required to interact with public and government personnel
- Will provide access control and conduct walking armed security functions.
- Will be responsible for cleanliness of uniform and equipment assigned
- Will follow applicable standard operating procedures and government regulations pertaining to security of weapons, buildings, personnel, government property and equipment
- Will conduct personnel, building, & facility checks and package & parcel inspection
- Must be able to work flexible hours to include weekends and holiday
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution recognized by the S. Department of Education.
- Speak, read, comprehend, and compose coherent verbal and written reports in English
- Have an approved Social Security Card issued by the Social Security Administration
- Active Secret Clerance
- Shall not be in violation of the Lautenberg Amendment at 18 S.C. 922
- Must be at least 21 years of Age
- Minimum of one year experience preferably with a civilian police force, military police force, or civilian security guard organization.
- Successfully be able to meet PAT physical agility standards as set forth by US Army
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office
- Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, Power Point), and Outlook.
