Position Title: Administrative Assistant II

Position Purpose: Provides administrative and receptionist support. Essential Functions:
Provide administrative support for Safety and Training departments which includes assisting with respirator fit and hearing tests, updating Job Safety Analysis’ and safety procedures, updating safety/training records, and administering safety glasses and safety boots according to company guidelines.
Compile safety videos and assign training through Learning Central. Coordinate with supervisors to schedule plant site training for all employees.
Ensure the receptionist area and switchboard are run smoothly, including answering incoming calls, greeting and directing all visitors.
Arrange catering for plant site meetings, training sessions, and employee engagement events. Update the daily and monthly schedule and coordinate the scheduling of the conference and training rooms. Order office supplies and overtime meals.
Assist with the coordination of the Cooperative tour program by conducting plant site tours for Cooperative members, educational institutions and other guests.
Work with the IS&T department to provide IS&T support for the facility.
Qualifications:
A working knowledge of secretarial procedures and related administrative functions.
Associate’s degree in administrative assistance, business or a related program; and 3 years of related experience; or
High school diploma or equivalent (GED or HSED); and 5 years of related experience.
Able to work with minimal supervision.
Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to effectively speak in public
Strong interpersonal skills,
Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite.
A valid driver’s license.

It also requires finger dexterity and hand coordination. This position requires good hearing and vision, and the ability to speak. It also requires the ability to develop plans, procedures and goals; present information to others; and work under stress to complete projects within deadlines. The incumbent must be able to operate a motor vehicle.
