MEC Technologies, LLC (MECT) Ada, OK - Administrative Office Clerk Position: MECT has an immediate opening for the position of Administrative Office Clerk position in our Ada, OK NRCS (Natural Resources Conservation) field office. The Administrative Office Clerk is primarily responsible for scanning and filing documents on location in the NRCS field office. While NRCS field offices are federal installations under the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the Administrative Office Clerk will be an employee of MEC Technologies, not the Government. This is a full-time position. Location: MECT currently has an opening at our Ada, OK location. Requirements:
Successful applicants for the position of Administrative Office Clerk will be detail-oriented and professional, and will meet the following criteria
Possession of a valid driver’s license
Willingness to travel to nearby offices to assist w/ongoing office projects as needed (gas and time covered – vehicle provided for trips to other nearby offices)
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Proficiency in word processing
Knowledge and experience with a variety of computer hardware and software applications, such as Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and Access
Ability to use e-mail and internet browsers, i.e. Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Explorer
Knowledge and experience in the operation of small office machines, such as calculators, fax machines, scanning devices, postage meters, and copy machines
Knowledge and experience in general office procedures, such as filing and preparing reports and spreadsheets
Familiarity with certified mail and return-receipt mail procedures
Interpersonal proficiency with both in-person and on-the-phone communication, preferred
Ability to work independently
Possession of basic telephone skills
College degree preferred, but not required
SCOPE OF WORK:
The employee would assist government staff with:
· Maintaining spreadsheets
· Perform scanning archiving, and filing
· Answering phones
· Perform general clerical work
Specific Responsibilities would include:
· Conservation program documentation and administration
· Cost data collection
· Payment application processing
· Paperwork review for accuracy
· Document collection for payment requests
· Payment request review
· Producer request and appeals tracking
· Case file maintenance
· Document review and adjudication
· Program payment processing
· Contract documentation
Work shall be completed in accordance with NRCS and USDA policies and procedures. The employee ought to possess excellent skills in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Google Maps. The position offers an hourly rate of $17.51 per hour and is full-time. The hours of work are from 8am to 5pm with possible flexibility close to this scheduled time frame from Monday through Friday each week, to be determined at the discretion of the site manager. There is an additional $5.36 per hour available up to 40 hours per week, for all worked hours each week. This amount is designated as a Health & Wellness benefit. There is a 60-day waiting period for company insurance eligibility. Individuals waiving insurance will have the H&W deposited into a tax deferred savings account. 401k contribution plan is available immediately at start of hire.
