Job Summary:
Under general direction of the Director of Finance, incumbents perform journey technical accounts maintenance work related primarily to accounts payable operations. Primary duties include auditing a variety of expenditure and encumbrance documents; prints check, submits electronic payments, or prepares scheduled payments; enters accounts payable data into the computer; processes travel and expense reimbursements; and researches accounting errors, provides correct information to supervisor, and processes corrections.

Minimum Qualifications for the Job:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Preferred: Associates degree in accounting or certificate in classes related to accounts payable.

Experience(s): Three (3) years of experience as an accounts payable technician. Experience must have included working with a data processing supported accounting system.
- Substitution: Associates degree may be substituted experience year-for-year.
