In this role, you'll take a prominent position within FLS's Mining leadership, serving as the critical bridge between intricate financial data and the clear, actionable insights required by our business. You will be joining the Service Business Line Business Controlling and FP&A team and work very closely with Finance Business Partners & reporting directly to the Head of Service Business FP&A.
The FP&A Analyst role involves providing advanced financial planning and analysis to support the Service Business Line FP&A team. Responsibilities include developing financial models, analyzing business performance, preparing forecasts and budgets, and offering insights to drive strategic decision-making. The role requires collaboration across departments, ensuring data accuracy, and identifying opportunities for financial optimization. Strong analytical skills, expertise in financial modeling, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.
Your responsibilities

Owning the consolidated P&L reporting of all SG&A. This will involve some critical controlling but more importantly, being able to explain the big picture e.g., to the Group CEO/CFO

Controlling and analysis of quarterly forecasting and budget processes, as well as being a driving force behind making these processes a success

Business partnering with the global P&L owners in Mining. Besides ensuring the numbers are correct, you will need to explain to the business in simple terms who/what is driving their SG&A

Business partnering with our Mining Marketing and Procurement departments.

Serve as a sparring partner internally with other Finance teams and especially project managers driving change within FLS. e.g., implementation of One Stream, Finance simplification initiatives

What you bring

Preferably experience in a finance function of a multinational, auditing firm or proven experience in Finance controlling, cost analysis, and business performance management.

Degree in business economics and/or Auditing, a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (HDR) or a related subject

Great communication skills and can translate complex financial issues into crisp analysis and presentations.

Someone that doesn't like doing the same thing month on month. We are looking for someone adaptable and likes getting things done.

Strong Excel skills, Power Point, working knowledge of consolidation systems (Hyperion)/One Stream) an advantage.

Someone that works effectively, focuses on what's important (big picture) to get results and most importantly can still remember to have fun doing it.
