Job Summary:
The Landscape Team Leader will oversee and maintain the lush, tropical landscapes of the The Lind Coron. This role entails leading a small team, ensuring the highest standards of horticultural beauty, guest satisfaction, and environmental sustainability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Coordinate daily activities and assignments for landscape staff.
· Provide training and support to team members.
· Foster a positive and productive work environment.
· Develop and execute detailed landscape maintenance schedules.
· Oversee planting, pruning, watering, and fertilization.
· Ensure proper lawn care, including mowing, edging, and aeration.
· Work collaboratively to design and implement new garden areas.
· Maintain pathways, ensuring safety and aesthetic appeal.
· Monitor health of plants, addressing pests and diseases promptly.
· Promote and implement sustainable gardening practices.
· Manage composting and recycling programs for garden waste.
· Ensure appropriate use and storage of gardening chemicals.
· Manage landscaping equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
· Maintain accurate records of supplies and order materials as needed.
· Oversee safe and efficient operation of all equipment.
· Interact with guests, offering information about the resort’s flora.
· Handle guest complaints or requests regarding landscape areas promptly and courteously.
· Conduct occasional tours or educational sessions about the resort’s landscape.
Required Skills
· Strong leadership and team management abilities.
· Extensive knowledge of tropical plants and sustainable gardening practices.
· Proficiency in the use of landscape maintenance tools and machinery.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
· Diploma or equivalent in horticulture, landscape management, or related field.
· Full-time position, requiring flexibility for early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
· Physical work outdoors in various weather conditions.
· Regular lifting, bending, and operating landscape equipment.
Experience
· Experience in a 5-star or luxury hotel;
· Minimum of 3 years in landscaping or horticulture, with 1 year in a supervisory role.
