Factory Manager (Rizal, Palawan)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the entire production process, from raw material sourcing to finished goods, ensuring optimal production efficiency and quality control.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop production teams, including line workers, supervisors, and support staff, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Implement and maintain food safety and quality standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations such as HACCP, GMP, and ISO certifications.
  • Monitor production costs, manage budgets, and work to minimize waste while maintaining high product standards. Identify areas for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve manufacturing processes, equipment, and production workflows to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and boost productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety, health, and safety regulations. Promote a strong safety culture and conduct regular audits and safety training for staff.
  • Oversee inventory levels of raw materials, packaging, and finished products. Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials.
  • Analyze production data and generate reports on key metrics such as output, quality, efficiency, and downtime. Present findings and recommendations to senior management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in food manufacturing or supply chain management are a plus.
  • Licensed Chemist or Registered Chemist (as per local regulatory standards), with relevant experience in food production environments.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and regulatory requirements (HACCP, GMP, etc.).
  • In-depth understanding of chemical properties, processes, and quality control in food production.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
