Oversee the entire production process, from raw material sourcing to finished goods, ensuring optimal production efficiency and quality control.
Manage, mentor, and develop production teams, including line workers, supervisors, and support staff, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Implement and maintain food safety and quality standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations such as HACCP, GMP, and ISO certifications.
Monitor production costs, manage budgets, and work to minimize waste while maintaining high product standards. Identify areas for cost savings and process improvements.
Continuously evaluate and improve manufacturing processes, equipment, and production workflows to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and boost productivity.
Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety, health, and safety regulations. Promote a strong safety culture and conduct regular audits and safety training for staff.
Oversee inventory levels of raw materials, packaging, and finished products. Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials.
Analyze production data and generate reports on key metrics such as output, quality, efficiency, and downtime. Present findings and recommendations to senior management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in food manufacturing or supply chain management are a plus.
Licensed Chemist or Registered Chemist (as per local regulatory standards), with relevant experience in food production environments.
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulatory requirements (HACCP, GMP, etc.).
In-depth understanding of chemical properties, processes, and quality control in food production.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
