Developing long-term goals and strategies for the farm’s growth and profitability. This includes the annual, monthly and weekly plan of the farm operation.
Maintaining accurate records of farm activities, including planting, farm maintenance and harvest operations.
2. Coconut Plantation Management:
Overseeing the land preparation, planting of coconut seedlings, care and maintenance of the coconut palms, and harvesting.
Implementing measures to prevent and control pests and diseases affecting the crop.
3. Equipment and Maintenance:
Scheduling and overseeing regular maintenance and repairs of farm equipment.
Ensuring that all farm operations comply with safety regulations and standards.
4. Labor Management:
Overseeing the work of farm staff and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
Managing employee relations and addressing any issues or concerns.
5. Compliance and Regulations:
Ensuring that the farm complies with all relevant agricultural regulations and standards.
Implementing practices that protect the environment and promote sustainable agriculture.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or a related field.
1-3 years of farm management experience, ideally in coconut farming.
Basic knowledge of organic coconut farming methods, including the use of organic fertilizers and natural pest control.
Knowledge of coconut sap collection and processing.
Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
Good organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work in rural areas and adapt to different conditions.
