We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure provision pf excellent customer service while accurately processing sales transactions. This role involves handling cash, credit, and debit transactions, answering customer inquiries, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area.
Responsibilities
Prepare bills for food and collect cash and debit card payments from customers.
Make changes available and issue receipts to customers.
Deal with returns and refunds as necessary.
Maintain cash control over the register drawer and verify amounts are correct.
Answer customer questions as they arise.
Present ordered food items for serving or for takeout.
Attend all scheduled employee meetings and offer suggestions for improvement.
Calculate customer bills through the cash register.
Help with other tasks as needed including managing shelves and tracking inventory.
Balance receipts and payments in cash registers.
Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet customers’ needs and support the operation of the restaurant.
Fill in for fellow employees where needed to ensure customer service standards and efficient operations.
Requirements
A minimum of National Diploma
Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a restaurant
Relevant professional qualifications are an added advantage
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Knowledge of restaurant POS systems.
Comprehensive knowledge of basic software, such as Word and Excel.
Working well within a team.
Ability to multitask.
Task management.
Salary
N80,000 monthly.
