Programme Manager

Wai Atamai – Programme Manager – Fixed Term Opportunity

Wai-Atamai is the social innovation arm of Te Whānau o Waipareira, specializing in Collective Impact to address complex issues affecting whānau wellbeing. By partnering with like-minded organizations, Wai-Atamai leads initiatives that prioritize collaborative solutions, with a strong focus on kaupapa Māori approaches that drive growth and deliver impactful change for whānau.

Wai-Atamai is seeking a proactive and visionary Programme Manager to oversee key programmes and projects that align with its strategic vision and goals. As Programme Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping programme strategy, enhancing delivery, and driving excellence in programme management. Key responsibilities include:
  • Programme Design & Management: Lead the design, development, and implementation of key programmes across Te Pae Herenga o Tāmaki, ensuring the integration of kaupapa Māori values and cultural relevance throughout the programme lifecycle.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong partnerships with key stakeholders to ensure accountability, alignment with programme objectives, and collaborative success.
  • Insights & Evaluation: Gather data and insights to evaluate programme effectiveness, identify improvements, and support strategic initiatives focused on social innovation.
Mōu (About you):
  • Proven relationship management skills across professional and cultural settings.
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent reporting skills with a high standard of delivery.
  • A minimum of 4 years of project management or related experience.
  • Ability to navigate Te Ao Māori environments with a sound understanding of Tikanga Māori.
