The Finance team provides a range of financial, planning and advisory services, ensuring financial management practices support the strategic goals of Council through effective delivery of reporting, advice and decisions. The Finance Business Partner – Planning position focuses on the development, analysis, review, and reporting on budgets for the Annual and Long-Term Plans, as well as having a strong business partnering focus.
You will be a trusted partner for your portfolio of departments, providing analysis and advice to support decision making, allowing them to efficiently navigate the many interactions with Finance. Your learned knowledge of these departments, coupled with your quality financial experience, will allow you to provide valuable insights into, and objectively analyse, their performance.

This role requires someone who:
- Is a chartered accountant or equivalent with 5 + years post qualifying experience.
- Has proven financial, budgeting & reporting experience
- Is logical, with analytical ability and attention for detail
- Has the ability to prioritise to meet deadlines
- Can remain calm under pressure when needed
- Is a confident communicator with good influencing abilities
