Purchasing Manager (Construction Building House)

The Purchasing Manager in the construction sector is responsible for overseeing the procurement process, ensuring that all materials, supplies, and services required for construction projects are acquired in a timely, cost-effective, and quality-driven manner. This role requires collaboration with various departments, negotiation with vendors, and management of purchasing policies to support project objectives and company goals.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Procurement Management:
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize costs and enhance supply chain efficiency.
  • Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Material Acquisition:
  • Forecast material needs based on project schedules and budgets, ensuring timely delivery of materials and supplies.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage stock to prevent shortages or excesses.
  • Budget Management:
  • Collaborate with project managers to prepare and manage budgets related to procurement.
  • Analyze purchasing data and market trends to inform budgeting and forecasting.
  • Compliance and Standards:
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements in all purchasing activities.
  • Conduct regular assessments of suppliers to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead and mentor a team of purchasing, providing guidance and support in procurement processes.
  • Foster a collaborative environment to enhance team performance and professional development.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance the purchasing function.
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
