The Operation Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Hotel Casuarina @ Kuala Kangsar, ensuring a world-class experience for guests and an efficient, positive working environment for staff. Contract length: 12 months
Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month

The ideal candidate will be an experienced hospitality professional with a passion for exceptional service and a proven track record in hotel operations.
Responsibilities
- Direct and manage hotel operations across departments (Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Kitchen, Maintenance, Security, Sales and others) to ensure efficient functioning and outstanding service.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve the hotel’s long-term vision, aligning with market trends and organizational goals.
- Develop, monitor and adjust the annual budget, ensuring alignment with financial goals and profitability targets.
- Implement strategies to minimize expenses without compromising quality, focusing on cost-effective purchasing and labor efficiency.
- Work with the Management team to optimize room rates, maximize occupancy, and implement effective pricing strategies.
- Track key performance indicators, analyze financial reports, and adjust strategies to improve profitability and guest satisfaction.
- Collaborate with marketing team to develop and implement marketing strategies, promotional campaigns, and social media strategies to drive occupancy and guest engagement.
- Lead the sales team to identify target markets, secure group bookings, events and implement strategies to increase occupancy and revenue.
- Provide timely, accurate reports on financial performance, occupancy, guest satisfaction, and operational issues to senior management.
- Conduct market analysis to monitor competitors and adapt strategies to remain competitive in pricing, amenities, and service quality.
- Establish a guest-first culture by implementing and maintaining high service standards across all departments, addressing guest issues, and continually improving service delivery.
- Collaborate closely with department heads to ensure all areas are appropriately staffed, and all team members are meeting performance standards.
- Develop, revise and enforce hotel policies and procedures to maintain consistency, safety, and quality standards.
- Ensure the property is well-maintained by coordinating with the maintenance team for routine inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
- Uphold all safety and hygiene standards, ensuring compliance with local regulations and certification requirements.
- Promote a positive, collaborative workplace culture that values employee engagement, teamwork, and professionalism.
- Proven experience as a hotel’s Operation Manager or senior leader in hotel operations.
- Experience managing hotel’s services for royalty and high-profile VIPs guest.
- A degree or diploma in hospitality management, business administration, or related field is preferred.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Financial acumen, with experience in budgeting and forecasting
- Knowledge of hotel management software.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple timelines and vendors simultaneously.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and days, including public holidays and weekends as and when required.
