Purchasing Executive

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Executive who is proficient in Mandarin. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. This role requires strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively in both Mandarin and English.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supplier Management:
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed.
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and agreements.
2. Procurement Process:
  • Process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the inventory team to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.
3. Cost Management:
  • Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Conduct price comparisons and manage budget allocations for procurement.
4. Quality Assurance:
  • Work closely with the quality control team to ensure that all procured materials meet the required standards and specifications.
  • Address and resolve any quality issues with suppliers.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
  • Prepare reports on procurement activities, including cost analysis and supplier performance.
Qualifications:
Education : Atleast posses a Certificate/Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience :
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role.
  • Experience in an international procurement environment is an advantage.
Skills:
  • Proficiency in Mandarin, English and Malay (both written and spoken) is required.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point) and procurement software.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From RM3,000.00 per month
