About Us: We are opening an exciting new seafood restaurant in the heart of Panaji, Goa, inspired by the rich culinary traditions of Goan and Portuguese / European cuisine. Our focus is on fresh, locally sourced seafood, creative dishes, and providing a warm, intimate dining experience. We're looking for a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic team and help bring this vision to life. Key Responsibilities: - Assist the Head Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations. - Lead the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence. - Help create and execute a menu featuring locally sourced seafood and seasonal ingredients. - Ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency. - Oversee and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring teamwork and smooth service. - Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety protocols. - Assist in inventory management and cost control. Qualifications: - Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role, preferably in a seafood or fine dining restaurant. - Strong knowledge of Goan, Portuguese, and European cuisine. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain composure under pressure. - Excellent leadership and communication skills. - Passion for cooking with fresh, local ingredients and delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
