Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Chandigarh University. The ideal candidate will assist the Executive Chef in managing the kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in planning and directing food preparation in the kitchen.
Oversee kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers.
Ensure all dishes are prepared according to the highest standards and served on time.
Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop new recipes and menus.
Train and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a large kitchen.
Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety standards.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
