Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Requirements Engineer to join our team in the rail and metro industry. The successful candidate will lead and oversee the elicitation, analysis, and management of system requirements for complex rail and metro projects, ensuring alignment with industry standards and project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the requirements elicitation process, working closely with stakeholders to understand and document system requirements for rail and metro projects, ensuring clarity, feasibility, and traceability.
• Analyze and prioritize system requirements, identifying conflicts, gaps, and inconsistencies to support the development of robust and comprehensive requirements specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that system requirements align with project objectives, standards, and regulatory requirements, and facilitate requirements reviews and approval processes.
• Develop and maintain requirements traceability matrices and manage changes to requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring transparency and accountability.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior requirements engineers, promoting best practices and continuous improvement in requirements engineering processes.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in requirements engineering within the rail and metro industry, with a focus on system integration and compliance with safety-critical standards.
• Proven track record of leading requirements engineering efforts for large-scale rail or metro projects, demonstrating proficiency in requirement management tools and methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex system requirements and drive consensus among diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Desired Skills:

• Professional certification in requirements engineering or systems engineering (e.g., INCOSE CSEP, IREB CPRE).
• Familiarity with safety-critical standards and regulations specific to rail and metro systems (e.g., EN 50126, CENELEC).
• Experience with requirements management tools, such as IBM Engineering Requirements Management DOORS or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of system modeling and simulation tools, such as Sys ML or similar platforms.
• Understanding of industry-specific technologies, such as positive train control (PTC), signaling systems, and automatic train control (ATC).
