Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior HVAC Design Engineer with specialized expertise in the rail and metro industry to lead the design and implementation of HVAC systems for complex transportation projects. The ideal candidate will possess advanced skills in air treatment, HAP calculation, cooling load calculation, and pressure loss calculation to ensure the optimal performance and efficiency of HVAC systems within rail and metro environments. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and design HVAC systems for rail and metro projects, incorporating advanced air treatment technologies to optimize air quality and thermal comfort for passengers and staff.
Conduct HAP calculations to determine heating, ventilation, and air conditioning requirements, ensuring the accurate sizing and selection of HVAC equipment for project specifications.
Perform cooling load calculations to assess thermal loads and requirements for cooling systems, considering factors such as occupancy, equipment heat gain, and ambient conditions.
Conduct pressure loss calculations to evaluate airflow distribution and pressure requirements within HVAC systems, optimizing system performance and energy efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate HVAC systems into rail and metro infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation, compliance with safety standards, and energy efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in HVAC system design and engineering, with a focus on rail and metro projects.
Proficiency in air treatment design, HAP calculation software, cooling load calculation methods, and pressure loss calculation techniques.
Strong knowledge of HVAC codes, regulations, and standards specific to the rail and metro industry.
Excellent project management skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail in HVAC system design and implementation.
Desired Skills:
Advanced proficiency in HVAC design software and tools for air treatment analysis, such as Carrier HAP or Elite Software RHVAC.
Experience in conducting complex cooling load calculations and pressure loss analysis for HVAC systems in rail and metro environments.
Knowledge of sustainable HVAC design practices, energy-efficient technologies, and green building standards.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively collaborate with internal teams, clients, and project stakeholders.
Certification in HVAC system design, energy management, or sustainable building design is a plus.
