What you'll be doing
Execute asset recovery operations in compliance with United States state and federal laws and company policies.
Locate and repossess assets using vendors, including vehicles, equipment, or other collateral, in a safe and efficient manner.
Communicate with delinquent clients and coordinate repossession efforts in a professional and respectful manner.
Take phone calls from delinquent clients and engage in negotiation to explore alternatives and potential solutions to avoid repossession.
Utilize skip tracing techniques and resources to locate individuals and assets as needed.
Conduct detailed investigations to determine the whereabouts of assets, and document all relevant information.
Maintain accurate records of all repossession activities, including condition assessments, inventories, and expenses.
Collaborate with law enforcement, legal teams, and auction houses as necessary during the repossession process.
What you have:
Proven experience in asset repossession or a related field.
Strong knowledge of United States state and federal laws related to repossession and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
Excellent problem-solving skills.
High level of English proficiency in speaking and writing.
Proficiency in skip tracing techniques and databases.
What will make you stand out:
High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or training in repossession are a plus.
Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to maintain accurate records.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with titling assets and or knowledge of DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) processes is a plus.
