The Bureau's Data & Digital Group (DDG) is undertaking a rebuild of the Bureau's ICT systems and related business processes and applications, focusing on addressing security and resilience risks. It aims to secure and strengthen all elements of the Bureau's operating environment to provide continuous availability of critical services, mitigating the risks arising from the fragility of the existing ICT environment.
An experienced Network Services Manager with a track record of managing technology services within complex and critical environments using a mixture of inhouse and Supplier/Vendor teams is required to join the Service and Infrastructure Management Team (SIM team) within the Bureau's Data & Digital Group (DDG). The candidate will ideally have a technical background, established proficiency in delivering internal IT infrastructure and network services through a mixture of inhouse and vendor teams. The successful candidate will also need to demonstrate superior stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to oversee the best practice and consistent application of IT Service Delivery management across the DDG multi-vendor eco-system.
To be successful in this role you will:
Have proven high-level experience in managing complex ICT environments including platforms and networks and programs within large organisations.
Have experience in complex bespoke systems delivering critical services
Have experience in delivering services through a vendor partner
Ensure value for money is achieved in the services delivered
Ensure that the environment is technically resilient and operationally stable
Ensure that the security controls and governance are in place
Ensure that capacity and capability meet Bureau needs
Ensure that all infrastructure is under lifecycle management and that future needs and capabilities of the bureau are planned and delivered
Have excellent leadership and resource management skills required to develop and manage high performing teams, along with a proven track record in implementing continuous improvement principles.
Have significant experience with the successful management of project and business as usual activities.
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Have extensive planning, coordination and interpersonal skills to effectively manage operational environments and engage with stakeholders, clients, vendors and technical staff, both internal and external to the Bureau.
