As an Assistant Director in the Alice Springs Office you will work collaboratively to perform a range of functions including stakeholder engagement, program assurance and stewardship of the aged care system, as well as supporting connection between health and aged care programs in Central Australia.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Effectively lead, manage, and support to a team across a range of health and aged care program areas.
- Maintain a robust working knowledge of relevant legislation, reform activities, and key priorities in the Aged Care, Indigenous Health, Mental Health and Primary Health Programs.
- Work in partnership with key stakeholders to support local solution brokerage and delivery of program outcomes.
- Gather intelligence on departmental programs and outcomes and the local conditions which impact service delivery.
- Identify, report on, and mitigate issues of concern or risk, escalate if required and maintain risk management activities.
- Represent the department at various stakeholder engagement activities throughout Central Australia.
- Support emergency response including covid-19 activities where required.
