About the Branch
The Corporate Branch is responsible for delivering enabling services that support the agency’s purpose and ensure its effective and efficient operation.

The volume of legislation and applicable Rules, Instruments, policies and frameworks which informs this work is significant. We deliver services across numerous disciplines being strategic stakeholder engagement, human resources, finance and procurement, planning, performance and parliamentary services, facilities management, security and corporate communications, including a contact centre.

The Branch strives for excellence in the provision of corporate services and meeting the objectives and KPIs contained in the CER Corporate Plan. By doing so, we:
  • frame our work and engagement against the agency’s cultural anchors and risk appetite

About the Section
A restructure of the former Communications Section occurred in May 2024 which split the focus on corporate and strategic communication into 2 distinct and separate sections.

The Corporate Communications Section is made up of 4 work teams, as follows:

  • Internal Communications and Events
  • Data and Web Management (including publishing)
  • Content and Design (including UX/UI and creative design)
  • Contact Centre (first point of contact for all external enquiries to the agency)
The section has a ‘can-do’ attitude and provides a collaborative, professional and solutions-oriented approach to challenges.

Working in tandem with the Strategic Communications Section, it delivers cohesive, considered and impactful communication products for the agency, focussed on user experience and engagement. It also works closely with staff and senior executive to provide communication advice and supports the delivery of agency outcomes.

Role Responsibilities and Duties
The Manager, Corporate Communications is part of the Corporate Branch leadership team and plays a critical role in effectively communicating the work of the CER within the organisation and to industry/scheme stakeholders and the broader community. This is done through our website, events and conferences and a dedicated contact centre.
