Health Education Officer (Non-Graduate): $30.45 - $44.03

What you'll be doing

The NSLHD Population Health Promotion Service works to improve the health and wellbeing of the people living in Northern Sydney in line with their Population Health Promotion Plan 2022-2027. This position operates within the Social Wellbeing portfolio, which currently focuses on domestic and family abuse, gambling-related harm, and mental health. This role will identify and progress partnership and funding opportunities, and support planning, implementation, and evaluation of current projects. It is a casual, full-time role to end-Dec 2024, with flexible working arrangements available, and the possibility of reduced days if negotiated.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or relevant experience in health promotion, public health, community development, sociology or other related areas.
  • Demonstrated project management skills including the ability to plan, implement and evaluate health promotion projects that address social wellbeing.
  • Strong relationship management skills with demonstrated ability to establish and maintain partnerships with a diverse range of stakeholders, and facilitate collaborative action.
  • High level communication skills with demonstrated capacity to prepare reports and submissions, and grant applications, as well as plan and deliver presentations and educational workshops.
