Event Coordinator

The Opportunity
Working as a part of our Marketing and Communications team this positon will suit an experienced and motivated Event Coordinator to join our team in Canberra. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development and delivery of culturally responsive events, including workshops, forums, and conferences, that support our mission to enhance the wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

You will be responsible for all aspects of event planning and delivery, ensuring events are impactful and foster meaningful engagement with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
  • Event Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive event strategy that supports community engagement, advocacy, and fundraising.
  • Merchandise and Sponsorship Management: Lead the development of culturally appropriate merchandise and manage sponsorship agreements to enhance branding and fundraising efforts.
  • Event Execution: Oversee all logistical aspects of events, ensuring seamless delivery and alignment with organisational goals.
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership to ensure high-quality event delivery and alignment with team objectives.
  • Risk Management and Compliance: Ensure all events comply with health, safety, and legal standards, proactively managing risks.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Implement strategies to promote events and enhance stakeholder relationships.
  • Evaluation and Reporting: Conduct post-event evaluations and provide recommendations for future improvements.
