The Role
The Directorate of ICT Standards and Frameworks in the ICT Policy and Standards Branch (PASB) of Defence Digital Group (DDG) is seeking to recruit EL1 ICT Standards and Frameworks Managers who can contribute to helping maximise Defence's ICT capability through the identification of and ongoing compliance with relevant ICT Standards and Frameworks.
Each position will lead a number of streams of work across ICT standards and frameworks. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including enterprise and solution architects, engineers, project managers, and business stakeholders, to ensure end-to-end solutions that align with the organisation's strategies and objectives in relation to ICT standards and frameworks.
You will be accountable for the delivery of complex ICT standards and frameworks focused outcomes.
About our Team
PASB provides policy and standards related services across the entire Defence Digital landscape supporting outcomes for Defence war-fighters, civilians, leadership, programs, projects and capability owners. We intimately understand, map and direct overall Digital ecosystems across Defence and proactively and continuously seek to improve the Digital experience for all ADF, APS and partners to meet the needs of the war-fighter.
The successful candidate will lead a small team providing targeted and proactive ICT standards and framework support to a range of stakeholders with a view to ensuring that Defence is adopting the latest technologies while maximising utility and interoperability.

- An exceptional ability to communicate with senior leadership, ICT architects and engineers, capability managers and project teams.
- Experience leading a team of digital capability-focussed professionals in a fast-paced, geographically dispersed, maturing, and results-driven environment.
- Demonstrable record of accomplishment in an architect or engineering role including documenting requirements, delivering outcomes and communicating with clients on both.
- A solid understanding of the role of standards and frameworks in enterprise ICT.
- An ability to grasp the architecture and engineering requirements of the Defence ICT environment and improve this capability through appropriate ICT standards and frameworks.
- Mature negotiation and influencing skills developed through working with key stakeholders across the enterprise.
