Disability Support Worker - Swansea

About the Role
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Female Disability Support Workers to join our team in Swansea, NSW. The role involves providing high-quality support to a male client with a spinal injury. The successful candidates will be responsible for various aspects of personal care and daily living support.

**SLEEPOVER SHIFTS**
Shifts Available:
34 hours per fortnight

  • Tuesdays - 4:45pm to 9:15am (Sleepover: 10pm to 6am) - 8.5 hours
  • Saturdays - 4:45pm to 9:15am (Sleepover: 10pm to 6am) - 8.5 hours
We also have various other shifts available with other clients if you are looking to take on additional hours
Responsibilities:
  • Manual handling using a hoist
  • Complex bowel care
  • Catheter care
  • Personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming)
  • Meal preparation
  • Mobility support
  • Pressure area care and wound management
Skills/Experience:
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent or at least 1 year relevant experience
  • Experience in manual handling and using a hoist
  • Knowledge of complex bowel care and catheter management
  • Experience in personal care and wound management
Licences/Credentials:
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Valid driver's licence and vehicle with comprehensive insurance
  • Working with Children Check NSW
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • NDIS Quality Safety and You Certificate - modules completed online
