What you will do
The Transfer Register may be used to source candidates for the following business areas:
Learning Experiences and Engagement
The Learning Experiences and Engagement (LEE) team are responsible for managing the delivery of the APS Academys learning offerings across the Service. The team engages with learners across the APS to support their capability needs through high quality administrative support via the Academy hotline and enquiries inbox.
Learning System Services
The Learning System Services (LSS) team are responsible for transforming and supporting the APS and APS Academy learning and development ecosystem through technology platforms. The team supports those who provide learning experience offerings across the APSC and APS. The LSS team manages the APS Academy website, the Academys APSLearn platform, APS Learning Bank and the APS Learning Design Manual.
Projects and Engagement
The Projects and Engagement team supports the APS Craft and Learning Branch to deliver projects to support the strategic objectives of the APS Academy, build and manage partnerships and relationships in the learning and development ecosystem to support APS capability uplift, delivery of events for the APS Academy, coordination of governance activities for the APS Academy.
Craft Learning Curation and Design
The Craft Learning Curation and Design team curates, designs and develops learning products including courses and resources for the APS workforce. The team partners with practitioners, learning specialists, external experts and APS agencies to ensure high quality and diverse learning solutions are available through the APS Academy.
Capability Strategy and Insights
The Capability Strategy and Insights team work on strategies, processes and policy that result in both APS Academy and system-wide improvements in learning and development. The team identifies and leverages opportunities to amplify the impact of learning and development expertise across the APS. The team is also responsible for the data and reporting functions with the Academy.
Leadership and Graduate Development
The Leadership and Graduate Development team uses cohort-based social learning to deliver development programs at scale including the APS Graduate Development Program and the APS Leadership Edge Program. The team has special expertise in the APS Craft of Leadership & Management, Events, Diversity Programs, and Coaching.
The Leadership and Graduate Development team is responsible for the following deliverables in 2024/25:
- APS Graduate Development Program
- Whole-of-APS Graduate Event Series
- Coaching for Graduates and management of the coaching pool APS Leadership Edge Program
- APS Indo-Pacific Executive Development Program
- Maintenance of Leadership & Management craft courses and resources
