Why work with us:
Every child and young person deserves a great education.
We have a strategy that aims to unlock every child’s potential now and into the future, one that in partnership with learners, students, parents and the wider South Australian community will build a world-leading public education system. One that is equitable and prioritises learning and wellbeing.
Together we will make our education system the best it can be.
When our children and young people thrive, so do our communities and our state.

About the Role:

The Anangu Lands are a diverse collection of remote communities experiencing significant cultural complexity, social disadvantage and a history of fragmented service delivery. The Anangu people move between communities for family and cultural reasons spending extended time away from their usual abode. This results in children either not attending school or attending in unfamiliar settings.
Consultation and collaborative planning undertaken with each of the communities and each of the school staff groups and the Anangu Lands Partnership Leadership ensures that planning and implementation is reflective of community need and aligned to measurable outcomes.
In addition, the Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Education Committee (PYEC) with Anangu representation from all ten communities informs and directs the education services on the Anangu Lands.
The Anangu Lands Partnership Community Engagement and Service Development Adviser will deliver high level leadership and mentoring across the Anangu Lands communities, focusing on enhanced learning outcomes for all students. The position is required to lead and manage evidence-based planning and reporting, for responsive and effective education across the Anangu Lands.
The Anangu Lands Partnership Community Engagement and Service Development Adviser will establish strong relationships with stakeholders across the Anangu Lands schools and preschool sites, including staff, parents, governing councils, students and service providers to identify and plan collaboratively to address the education and wellbeing outcomes for children and young people.
The position will lead and manage the development, implementation and ongoing review of responsive and consistent policy, procedures and processes across the Anangu Lands educational sites, and represent the Anangu Lands Education Director on key Committees and Working Parties and provide a range of strategic advice to the Education Director and department which informs future decision making.
